The University of Hong Kong ("the University") is committed to complying with internationally recognized standards of personal data privacy protection, in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. In doing so, the University ensures research personnel comply with the strictest standards of security and confidentiality.

The "HKU Health Companion Programme for Smokers" conducted by the School of Public Health of the University, adheres fully to the University's privacy policy.

Your personal data will be kept strictly confidential and used only for research purposes. Unless required by law or with prior notification, no personal information will be disclosed to external parties.

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to request access to or correction of your personal data. Please email us at ldct@hku.hk  with your request. A data access request form must be submitted and a reasonable fee may be charged.
